2021 Oolite Arts Creator Award winner Abhi Chatterjee-Dutt’s “theEllies” project features 30 hand-printed books consisting of different short stories about Miami and India, with each cover being meticulously hand-carved.
Launched at Lower East Coast, "Eating Flowers" is a collection of the artist's illustrations, writings, and hand-carved woodblock prints that fuse Miami and India.

Eating Flowers is paired with a mixtape titled “Bollywood, FL”, which features remixes that combine Indian music with South Florida rap.
Abhi C.D. is an artist and filmmaker from Miami, Florida. His current practice showcases atypical cultural phenomena from his Miami upbringing and Indian heritage. He explores these cultures individually and where they strangely overlap in his personal experiences, aiming to illustrate a niche subculture within Miami’s already extremely diverse cultural landscape.
